A little about me...
I am a photographer and digital artist based out of Phoenix, Arizona. I spend most of my time creating stock images that are designed for the animal and travel industries. A Dog's Life Photography houses my fun, whimsical, conceptual animal art. Susan Schmitz Photography is where you can see more adventurous side with my travel and wildlife images.
I love photography but I love the back-end work in Photoshop even more. I have so much fun using my creativity to turn my images into something unique and memorable. I am obsessed with animals! All of them... every kind (well, except cockroaches. Total paranoia of them!). I am a big supporter of animal rescue and I volunteer a lot of my time and services to this cause. I've actually built a big part of my business around volunteering. You can read more about it and my rescue group photo program here on the Huffington Post. I love to travel and explore nature. I've been fortunate enough to visit some pretty cool places around the world and I am looking forward to many more excursions in the future.
